The 17th Nene (The Hamptons) Scout Group was founded in May 2002; we provide Scouting for the young people for the Hamptons Community in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

How much does it cost to send my child into Scouting?

17th Nene (The Hamptons) Scout Group charge £10.00 per month (£120.00 a year) plus a one off non-refundable £5.00 joining fee. This fee covers the cost of the hire of venue, membership to the Scout Association, Equipment and resources for section nights. Trips, camps and activities are usually charged separately. Cost should not be a barrier to anyone taking part in Scouting and if this is an issue, you can speak to the local Section Leader in confidence.

Where and When do your Sections meet?

Our Sections meet in different locations across the Hampton Community. Our Scout Group serves the Hampton Community but we are sadly not in the position where we have our own Scouting Headquarters so we meet in multiple locations across The Hamptons. Please see below each individual Section for their meeting location.

Why does the Scout Group has a waiting list?

Most of our Sections remain full to capacity and without more volunteers we are unable to open additional sections. We advise you put your young person down on our joining list and once a space become available we will be in touch with you.
